My name is Joe. I first learned of The Cottars in May 2005. I bought their first two CD's soon after. I've attended their performance at the Night Eagle Cafe in Oxford NY in August 2005. I spoke to musical director Allister MacGillivray, his wife Bev and had the quartet autograph their pictures.

I only have their forerunner CD (only one on iTunes i believe). but it rocks! i really love Ciaran's piano playing...used to think I was pretty decent in freestyling piano...but that guy totally blows me away!

Yeah, Ciaran's piano playing is exceptional. He was playing since he was five years old. Plus he also plays the penny whistle and guitar well also!

Hi everyone! I'm Meredith, and I'm glad to see other fans of The Cottars out there! Thanks so much Joe for setting up this board! ;D

I'm on a bit of a Cottars high right now having just this past Tuesday seen them perform with The Chieftains at The Kennedy Center. I had heard most of the first two albums and already owned their latest, but I was still blown away by how good they were.

I think they are spectacular, and they deserve every success coming their way and more.

That's great that you saw The Chieftains and The Cottars concert at the Kennedy Center.
