Lol, Fiona was influenced by the Beatles and John Lennon? Now that is something I would have never guessed in a million years.
That is really neat that she got her name in an encyclopedia. We should all be so lucky ;D.

I think Fiona would be a brilliant Christine in Phantom of the Opera. It'd be cool if Fiona could sing on Broadway! Joe

Joe,
I thought Christine was a soprano. Isn't Fiona an alto?

I thought Christine was a soprano. Isn't Fiona an alto? True, Christine is a soprano's role. I'm not sure...I reckon Fiona is a soprano. Roger, what do you think?

I don't know either. I keep on wanting to say she is an alto because she has near the same range as me as a Baratone. Most of her songs fit right into my range.
Still, it may be that she can sing higher than what she does on the songs on her CD's.

Fiona was influenced by Colm Wilkinson's opera ghost? 'Ginny', would you believe that I was irked that you didn't capitalize Opera Ghost? Anyhoo... I actually wondered if Fiona would be able to sing Christine's part when I read that. I know they've had baritones singing tenor's parts in that musical, but from an alto to soprano would be different, I expect.

I would take anything on Wikipedia with a grain of salt. Wikipedia is made up by random users rather than an official source. Most of the people write bios based on other websites or what they have seen or heard. Any one of us could add to Fiona's page (as you can probably see from the "edit" buttons)

I wasn't quite sure where to put this, but I thought here would be alright. I was looking through my Clans & Tartans of Scotland book (Iain Zaczek) tonight and came across MacGillivray. I thought I'd share what it said. MacGillivrayMacGillivray clan origins are uncertain. There is a theory that it came from Mull and took its name from Gillebride, the father of Somerled, the 12th-century Lord of the Isles. Other sources suggest that its roots were in Morvern and Lochaber, and that it sought the protection of the Mackintosh clan in 1268. In doing so, it became one of the oldest branches of Clan Chatten. In c. 1500, the MacGillivrays settled at Dunmaglass in Strathnairn, which remained in the family until the 19th century. The clan fought in both the Jacobite uprisings and its chief, Alexander, died by a well at Culloden, which still bears his name. <3 Caite p.s. a sample of their tartan can be viewed at the following link: www.scotsconnection.com/uploads/images_products/577.jpg

Hi Caite Thanks for the info on the MacGillivray clan. Remember what Andrew from the HWI forum did for the Westenra tartan... Here's the MacGillivray tartan... My mom could make a tartan sash for Fiona and a tie for Ciaran...I'm dreaming though ! Joe zzzzzzzzzz

Ah that's alright. Yours is more accessable anyways. At least their tartan is interesting: mine is so boring! (but I love it anyways)

Hey, we musn't forget Jimmy and Roseanne....here's a link to the MacKenzie tartan www.clan-mackenzie.org.uk/graphics/tartan.gifSince my family is descendants of MacKenzie's, we consider this our tartan as well (or at least I do!) Cheers, Ginny

Or you could consider our tartan to be the tartan for our actual last name?
