Cape Breton Musician Killed By Coyotes

I don't know if anyone here was familiar with her , but all of Cape Breton has my condolences.

I didn't even notice the date the article was posted on. I just read about this a few days ago.

I remember when this happened. She was actually from Ontario, but touring the Maritimes when this happened. She was due to play some shows on PEI shortly after. While attacks of this nature are rare in North America, there are greater numbers of coyote-wolf hybrids in some areas I believe, including Cape Breton. All the more reason to not feed wildlife, and always be prepared when hiking in wilderness areas.

Her family now uses her website as a memorial page, and they accept donations to a legacy trust that both encourages young musicians to reach their potential, and also to protect wildlife in their natural habitats
