I should begin by saying I don't play any instruments now, but that was not always the case. During the dim and distant past, I have played 6 and 12 string guitars, mandolin, accordion, concertina, keyboards (not well!), autoharp, tin whistles and recorder. I also managed to play 'Greensleeves' on a violin! I used to sing a bit and have performed with a few local groups.
The only things I play now are CDs - less stressful on the fingers and you don't have to worry about circular breathing!

Hello Roger, My word, you also have lots of musical talent. Let's not forget your singing voice! ;D My keyboard is under my bed gathering dust. I might one day take my tin whistle outside and have a go at practicing. At a reasonable hour of course ! Joe

I can play the tenor saxophone, the snare drum, and the piano. I've allowed myself to forget how to play the alto sax and clarinet... oops.

Ah, yes. That is, indeed, an instrument in itself...

I brought my tin whistle outside just a few hours ago for a bit of practice. I haven't played it in a while and could just remember how to do scales. Hmm. It's a little bit after 8 PM...bit early for bodhran playing. I'll take that out at 11. Just Kidding. Midnight. Maybe you can hear me if you listen closely! Joe

So what direction is Pennsylvania from here? north? south?...need to make sure I'm facing the proper direction...you may hear a bit of tin whistle too...it will be our own little long distance kitchen party....anyone else want to join?? ;D

Hey Ginny, Yeah, Adam is incredible! Both of his songs he had there...oh, the best. I'm not sure where you're from, Ginny (Don't give out your city)...you never know who reads these.) At midnight, face south-west. I'll hear "ta tum tiddle tum" and your tin whistle at my 11 PM. Thanks for the smiles El capitan

question-why does it say sthingys??? what the heck are sthingys? I'm trying to say SPOONS, (that's probably going to show up as sthingys too), as in the wooden instruments you beat on your knees. As in the object you eat your cereal with. Why won't it let me say that??? Someone explain Ginny

My neighbours are used to my loud music. This afternoon I had on one of my Charlotte Church CD's. I love her song "Men of Harlech" and it's sung in Welsh. Tell CR she could practice her alto saxophone at our kitchen party. Waving from PA, Joe
