Hummm... That is closer to where I am at. Maybe I will consider that instead of the Milwaukee Irish Festival.

An exerpt from Christy L. Breithaupt of the Lansing (Michigan) State Journal... [blue]The Cottars are all about keeping music in the family. This Nova Scotia-based quartet, originally made up of two brother-sister pairs, give a fresh take on traditional music. They hail from Cape Breton, a fairly isolated town that once had a steady immigration from Scotland. Those Scottish roots and sounds never left this remote area of Canada and are firmly embraced by some of its descendants, like the Cottars. Fronting this unique foursome is Fiona MacGillivray, 17, who contributes not only her sweet vocals, but also plays the whistles, harp and bodhran. Her older brother, Ciaran, 18, does all the arranging of the band's tunes and performs on guitar, flute and whistle. The other sibling-pair recently dropped off the tour because of illness. Joining them on stage will be 16-year-old Claire Pettit on fiddle and Bruce Timmons ("a grown-up") on guitar.[/blue] Read the entire article HERE.
