Some info. on The MacKenzie Project's appearance at the State Uni. of NY at Geneseo.
The MacKenzie Project. Celtic band. Date: 2/17/2007 Sponsored by: SUNY Geneseo's Limelight & Accents Performing Arts Series Location: Wadsworth Auditorium, SUNY Geneseo The MacKenzie Project is a new young band featuring members from accross the Celtic world. Time: 8:00 pm. Cost: $5 for students; $12 faculty/staff/alumni; $15 general public. Get tickets by mail (Student Association Ticket Office, MacVittie College Union, 1 College Circle, Geneseo NY 14454) , charge by phone (1-800-525-2070), or in person at Student Association Ticket Office. This is tempting! It's nowhere close to me - 6.5 hours or so - BUT it's on a Saturday and it's a nice drive through route 2 over to that part of NY. Hmmmm.....

Ack, why couldnt they be a couple hours north, and in the next country, but this is good that they are performing hopefully soon it will be in more places. Hopefully someone from here can go and tell us how they did Tia

Well, I ordered tickets and we'll be on our way a week from Saturday. But first, I checked with the venue to make sure it was the right group. I'm really looking forward to the concert to see how different it is from the Cottars. I noticed that Richard Wood is also a fiddler and stepdancer just like Roseanne. Maybe they'll perform a duet showing off these two talents.

I don't think Richard Wood will be there. He will be performing the night before in a PEI music showcase at one of the pre-ECMA events.
