A diverse line-up for new concert series season

The MacKenzie Project is one of the most exciting new ensembles in Celtic music today. Roseanne MacKenzie, 16, a dynamic fiddler, stepdancer and vocalist, along with 19-year-old brother Jimmy, an ace guitarist and bohdran player, appeared during a recent Southern Manitoba Concert season as part of the Cottars. Then add Richard Wood on the fiddle and piano and, from across the Atlantic, lead singer Pauline Scanlon to the mix.
The MacKenzie Project delivers everything from blazing fiddling to powerhouse vocals and lively stepdance routines. This is a world-class Canadian Celtic group.
The MacKenzie Project will be appearing at the Morden Recreation Centre at 111 Gilmour Street at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. Season tickets for the upcoming SMC can be purchased starting Sept. 15 at the Bible Book Shop in Winkler, Friesens the Mall in Altona and Solutions in Morden.
Questions about tickets can be directed to Amanda Heinrichs (324-6826), Linda Butler (822-3443) or Darlene Derksen (331-4037). If still available, season tickets may be sold at the first concert of the season.
