Pacific Contact '09 conference - Mar. 27-29

On March 27th through the 29th, the Cottars are slated to perform a series of industry showcases for Pacific Contact 2009. This will take place at the Michael J. Fox Theatre, Burnaby, British Columbia. The Cottars are one of the performers who will showcase the Folk/Roots/Trad genre of music.

What is Pacific Contact?

Pacific Contact is the BC Touring Council's annual west coast tradeshow and booking conference for the performing arts. It includes showcases, tradeshow booths of artists, workshops and networking opportunities for artists and performing arts presenters.

Pacific Contact runs from March 27 - 29, 2009. The conference takes place at the Hilton Vancouver, Metrotown. The showcases are at the Michael J Fox Theatre, and at the Shadbolt Centre For The Arts.

Each showcase lasts for 15 minutes. A variety of performances are done, including music, dance, theatre, etc. There will be around 25 showcases at the Michael J Fox Theatre and about 10 at the Shadbolt Centre For The Arts.

Delegates will get to see who is current;y the marketplace and can sample each level of artistry available for touring.

Hmm. I only see The Cottars are just performing one set, on Saturday, March 28. 10:30 to 10:45 PM.
