Hey guys, This may only apply to people who have seen the Cottars in concert at least 4 or 5 years ago, considering how many changes the band has had (not to mention I haven't seen them in that long, so I have no idea what music or anything they perform live anymore). Anyway, my question is about a little poem that Fiona used to recite near the end of the concerts, usually before they played a final fiddle tune. It began with "Last night, I dreamed of dancing.." or something close to that. Does anyone else remember this? If so, does anyone remember how it went? I remember liking it a lot, so it would be kinda nice to know how it went. If anyone knows, that would be awesome Cheers!

Hi Ginny and Tia, You asked the right person! Fiona mentioned this story when The Cottars were at the Kennedy Center in August 2003. I recorded it on a cassette tape, and The Kennedy Center might still have it thecottarsforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=media&action=display&thread=486 , it's in Real Player (which I no longer have). Anyway, here it is ... Last night, I dreamed of dancing. Not the formal dancing, but the way we used to dance, at the crossroads. The lads coming with fresh-scrubbed faces to meet the girls. And everyone shy and laughing at the same time. I can almost hear the fiddle once more, and taste the sweet dust of the road in my throat. Yes. Last night, I dreamed of dancing. Now, I discoved that this is from a book! "1916" By Morgan Llywelyn. Here's the page in Google Books.. books.google.com/books?id=eDdhz1sqNAYC&pg=PA71&dq=%22last+night,+i+dreamed+of+dancing%22&hl=en&ei=rhmJTtDZKfLJ0AG9roHpDw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CDAQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=%22last%20night%2C%20i%20dreamed%20of%20dancing%22&f=false Cheers, Joe
