Port Fairy Folk Festival 2011 announcements visitportfairy-moyneshire.com.au/component/content/article/1-news/389-port-fairy-folk-festival-first-line-up-announcements&Itemid=16Some fantastic acts have been announced for the upcoming 2011 Port Fairy Folk Festival, which is shaping up to be one of the best ever. The festival will take over the town of Port Fairy from March 11 to 14 next year. Each year around 20 international acts perform alongside over 100 national acts in the historic seaside town of Port Fairy alongside great street performers and a Children's Folk Circus. Festival organisers say tickets for the festival are "zipping out quickly" and many great international and national acts have been confirmed. "Mary Black has just confirmed and looking forward to playing Port Fairy with her great band following up a busy year touring Ireland, Europe and the USA," they said in the newsletter to ticket holders. Other comfirmed highlights include Rosie Flores, Mr Percival, Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier and The Cottars from Canada, with many more to be announced over the coming weeks.
