Claire Elizabeth Pettit, the youngest member of the band, is also a gifted instrumentalist, singer, composer and dancer. Accomplished on both the violin and viola, she has studied traditional Cape Breton fiddling with several of the Island’s legendary masters. Her appearances with the quartet in western and eastern Canada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Massachusetts, and across California have earned her rave reviews by music critics. Born February 23, 1990 in Ridgewood, N.J. Daughter of Raymond Pettit and Kathy Rodgers Pettit. Attended Warwick Valley High School in Warwick, N.Y where she excelled in cross-country and running, earning a state record in the process. Claire is currently is a student at the University of Massachusetts, majoring in anthropology.
