I was imagining how cool "Georgia Lee" would look as a video.
Anyone have a Cottars song they would like to see made into a music video?

Sure. Tis Pretty to be in Ballinderry and Atlantic Blue would both be great as a video.
I hope that one of these days the Cottars will produce a DVD concert with extras like everyday life on the road and such. Much like Aselin did with Sweet is the Melody.

Yeah, a concert DVD would be nice! I enjoy Aselin's DVD...especially the extra bit where Azi, her friends (and her dog Rory) sing "Over the Rainbow" ! I like your song suggestions for videos.

Joe,
Ya, that section of the DVD was hilarius. The outtakes were also funny as they got some footage of the photo shoot and Azi started singing "Somewhere over the Rainbow," and her dog started singing along, at then after he was done Azi says "Thank you for singing!" It was so cute!

Yeah, how 'bout when Bruce Guthro asks Azi if she's nervous before the concert...Azi does a neat move! I know that Azi's DVD was recorded over a two-day period. Towards the end of the concert, her dad and brother are shown. A few seconds later, they are shown again but in different clothes. I wonder which songs were done on the first night, and which were done on the second. The fishing boats in the harbour might shed some light on this. Joe

Joe,
I don't think you could rattle Azi if you put her at Carnegie hall on opening night. I got a chance to meet Azi in Moncton as I attended on of my concerts on the way to Prince Edward Island which is where I spent my birthday.
I noticed that her father had somehow changed clothes. That is because I took good notice of him when he was crying when Azi sang her song for him, and then he had different clothes on later in the program. I know one night was really cold as Aselin said in her diary that she was wandering if she could hit some of the high notes.

Actually, it was back in November. I got up at 2:00AM, drove down to Chicago-O'Hare airport, and after two terminal changes, going through customs in Toronto, and waiting for two hours in Montreal, I actually got to my motel room a little early. I didn't want to fall asleep and miss the concert. My fatigue, however, ended at the concert. After the concert, Azi was signing autographs, but the line was HUGE! I decided to wait and ended up being the next to last person in line.
She was asking how everyone was, and when she got to me, I answered that I was as well as anyone could be after seven hours of flight changes, terminal changes, and Canadian customs. She started to write, and then it clicked what I was saying. She then asked where I was from, and I said I was from Wisconsin. She said she thought her drive from Glace Bay was bad. I told her it was well worth it. She had made a mistake in one of her songs, so I told her that I was a musician as well, and I know of several people who had made worse mistakes than that. I told her about Josh Groban taking some mountain dew one night before a concert for some caffine, and singing the first line of Per Te, and burping right into the microphone. I had Azi and her mother, and the other people in line laughing so hard I thought that, at least, Azi was going to roll on the floor. I thanked her, and told her again that it was well worth the trip, and she said she was glad, and I went off, and proceeded to get lost in downtown Moncton at 11:00 at night. Anyway, it was great that she took time to talk to me, and to thank me for coming so far to hear her!

Hi afanoffiona,
Thanks for sharing that story of how you met Azi and her mom. I enjoyed talking to you tonight as we played "post-tag"! Pretty soon I'll be off to bed. Have a good night and a wonderful "first day of Summer" , my friend!
May God Bless you, Joe

Hey ginny,
I actually stayed in Moncton and drove to PEI. I visted Cavindish beach, Green Gables, and also visited some of the towns on the western portion of the Island taking pictures of the scenery around. I tried to visit PEI National Park, but I ended up getting lost, and had to head back for Moncton to catch my flight, which I missed anyway because I thought that A1 was the same road as TC1. It isn't. So, I ended up having to drive all the way around the Island to get back to the bridge. I did manage to catch the sunset driving across the bridge which was cool. However, I had to spend another night in Moncton, and more money for motels which wasn't cool.

Hey Joe,
It is great to be on a forum where I can talk to people interested in the same kind of music as I am. In college, people may or may not Azi or the Cottars, you just never know.
