So I am back from my first full Cottars' show. It was in a tiny little town which they had played before in the western corner of NY close to Vermont and New York. The place was filled and most people had seen them there a few years earlier. First, my thoughts on the new members: The new fiddle player is good. I think Rosie is an amazing fiddle player and that is hard to take the place of. A few times she missed notes but I think she may have beem nervus as it was pointed out her whole family was there. I am sure over time she will get even better when playing in the band longer as she is very talented on the fiddle. The guitar player is awesome. Unfotanately, the sound crew had the fiddle way too high and guitar way too low but he can play. As expected, it was great fun. They played two full sets and did just about every trad number on the last two discs which was cool. They didnt play any of the comtemporary covers on the enw album which made me happy since those are the only tracks of theirs I dont like. Fun show as I expected! It was great to finally see them live!

Hi Adam I'm so glad you had a wonderful time at the concert. Thanks for your report. Glad that Bruce and Claire did well; although they have huge shoes to fill. Great post! Joe
