I first learned about the Cottars in 2002. They were doing a tour of the Maritimes with John MacDermott. Coincidentally, Brigham Phillips (John' piano player, and the Cottar's producer on their first two CD's) is a cousin of mine, and he sent tickets to his relatives in Atlantic Canada. I decided to go, and I was completely blown away by these young musicians, who were my age, yet so amazingly talented. I bought "Made in Cape Breton" and I quickly became a huge fan. I've since seen them three times in concert. Thanks for the nice greetings by the way!
