The remnants of tropical storm Beryl are forecast to brush the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia late Friday. Rainfall amounts of 50 millimetres are forecast across western portions of Nova Scotia Friday with higher amounts possible. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 millimetres are forecast over eastern sections. It is possible that rainfall warnings may need to be extended as the system tracks along the coast. Also wind gusts of up to 80 km/h are forecast along the Atlantic coast with this system.

Not a good storm Be careful where you are. The U.S. is having such strange weather this year. Parts are burning, some are in droubt and suffering from the heat, and others just keep getting the non-stop rain and flooding. Global Warming?

Canada (or at least the Maritimes) has been getting strange weather too. Last I heard, Halifax was literally a swamp from all the rain.

Hi Katie, OK class! There will be a quiz on this! Nova Scotia is a province (like a state) of Canada and is located very close to the state of Maine. Cape Breton is an island off the coast of Nova Scotia. (similar to Long Island off the coast of New York State). Atlantic Canada, Maritimes, and East Coast all refer to the Canadian provinces on the Atlantic Ocean. These provinces are Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Newfoundland/Labrador. Cheers, Joe

you seem sad that you are half and inch from the A? Is something wrong with that? Do tell why that is upsetting. Hugs, Ginny

At least you're on the map there Joe! I'm much too far to the west for that. I couldn't tell you the weather here it's been changing soo much! Rain one minute and sunny and warm the next!
Hope you don't get too much rain Ginny! Or at least that you're dry now.

Thank you. I am dry now. Isn't it a tad bit strange that Pennsylvania and the Maritimes are getting the same weather? Cheers, Ginny
