Hello! Is anybody familiar with the publication Dirty Linen? I heard this from a friend, but I know nothing about the publication. Dougie MacLean is on the current issue and they mentioned that the Cottars were on two issues ago...because of printing deadlines, they were unable to retract the story even though knowledge of the group disbanding was public. I saw on the DirtyLinen.com website the Cottars were featured a couple of issues ago, and back in June or so they were on the cover. I was just wondering if anyone gets the magazine and knows what I am talking about.

I know about Dirty Linen and it's a great magazine. Their website - which has previews of articles - also is one of the better lists of live folk music.

Hi Rich, I do have the June/July 2006 issue; the one in which The Cottars are on the front cover. I did scan the article they were featured in..please view this post. The magazine's greatest asset is the nearly twenty-page section devoted to artists' tour schedules. Adam is right; their website also is great. You can search by artist, state, or festival. Here's the link to the current issue...or view The Cottars' front cover by using /124/. www.dirtylinen.com/linen/126/
