Hello everyone Happy Halloween! If you're doing anything special for Halloween, let us know! My workplace has a great Halloween party. We have to guess how many pieces of candy are in a plastic container. Then we have a costume contest with cash prizes for different categories. I bought a great Phantom of the Opera costume...I'll take some pics. Last year I went as a thief, and I was dropping spoons and forks everywhere. It was so funny. Usually we have a catered lunch as well. Joe

Yeah our work place has a costume contest too, and a best pumpkin contest. I must say I don't compete, I'm not much of a Halloweenie. We get food but we have to pay for it, or bring a dish. The food is pretty good actually, subs and what the employees might bring. The thief costume sounds like a cool idea though. The best costume I ever saw at a Halloween party is someone who dressed as Toulouse-Lautrec. He walked on his knees the whole party.

I bought a great Phantom of the Opera costume...I'll take some pics. Please do. The Shoelace has a very similar costume planned...but I'll let her tell you all about it Every year, our town has a Haunted Mansion. The Shoelace and have worked at it for the last few years. It's pretty awesome getting paid minimum wage just to dress up and yell boo at people At my school, we have a group that works towards preventing poverty, child labour, etc. For Halloween this year, they are dressing up and trick or treating, but instead of asking for treats, they ask for canned food donations, which they will give to a local soup kitchen. I'm not part of this group myself, but some of my friends are, so I'll be helping them out Halloween night. I'm really looking forward to this new form of trick or treating. Cheers, Ginny :smile_Canada:

My school does that too, the trick or eat, so that'll be fun, dressing up, and going door to door, like when i was a kid, only i still have to figure out a costume, thinking of a pirate. Tia

That's a really great idea! I am going to a Halloween shindig this Saturday as a sailor...so I can sing sea shanteys all night :-)
On Tuesday, I am just passing out candy since my apt building has lots of kiddies.

I tried to reply to this yesterday... thought I did. Funny.
Anyhoo, yes, I DO have a similar costume, what a delightful observation, Virginia!
I'm the Red Death. w00t w00t. Except my mask is red and gold as well, because you can never find a nice good quality skull mask that doesn't have blood oozing out of it or something... *sigh*.
But yes, do take pictures. I want to see this genius costume.

Don't mind her... Anyhoo, I think the costume is awesome! I like your brothers too...both are very creative! I laughed out loud when I realized that your supervisor had lotto cards stuck to her pants I didn't really dress up as anything-just had a wicked mask and a long black robe. Anyhoo, I'll have to get The Shoelace to post a picture of herself in her costume...it was pretty cool Cheers and Happy Halloween, Ginny

Hi Katie ;D That phantom of the opera mask was very difficult to keep straight. The mask needed a bigger piece of elastic to stay in place. How was your Halloween?? Do anything special? I like to have a fire going outside, but where I live, burning really isn't allowed. I wanted to try that recipe for the pumpkin seeds on your forum...but we didn't get any pumpkins this year. I'll share some pics of my Hallloween village too. I'll be over at your forum a little later on ! Joe

OH, Taco Bandito - LOL I thought it was Zorro at first. You guys did great with your costumes! I did the pumpkin seeds this year with cinnamon and sugar and they were really yummy. But no one would eat them with me and I couldn't stomach them all by myself so I ended up tossing most of them Yay! I'd love to see pictures of your halloween village. I was such a poop this halloween. We did our regular thing but I was pretty tired. I saw WAY TOO MANY horror movies this year - I still can't sleep. But never could pass up FREDDIE and JASON on OCT. 31 ;D
