Happy St. Paddy's Day to everyone! Does anyone have any special plans to celebrate such a cool day? I myself am going to a ceilidh tonight.
Cheers, Ginny

I had a totally 100% Irish day! Well, the first part of the day I spent shoveling the foot of snow that fell overnight! But then there was a lot on TV about Ireland. Travel shows, cooking programs...The Chietains had a special on. Then I had a go at my Irish and celtic CD's ! -- Hope you had fun at the ceilidh, Ginny. Did you bring any musical instruments ?

Well...it wasn't a real ceilidh
It was a fundraiser auction, with some bagpipe and snare drum music. So no, I wasn't playing instruments, I was merely a spectator.

Sounds like fun, I was really busy that day, but I made sure I had time to play a couple jigs and listen to some music Tia

I went to a party at the Irish American Heritage Center in Chicago. Wall to wall people, lots of kids. Mostly local bands appeared, but the music was fine and so was the beer. I found out that if you listen to bagpipers when they aren't facing you, your ears don't ring so much the days afterwards. After the party I went and got a pizza (no it wasn't green).

hmm i wonder what green pizza would taste like, it reminds me of the story green eggs and ham, I used to hate that book because it was my little sisters favourite and we had to either read it or listen to her read all the time

Hi Mott,
Sounds like a great time was had in Chicagoland. I watched the parade on TV. I also learned how they made the Chicago River green (they use a orange-colored powder!).
I trust that the Guinness was flowing well...I bought a few bottles to enjoy at home.
Green pizza...why not put some green food coloring on it? I'm sure I have the book Green Eggs and Ham somewhere.
At work we had cupcakes with green frosting...I still have green teeth ;D
