The East Coast Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Halifax Metro Centre on CBC Television on Sunday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Aselin's Concert Film In Stores Now!

On the heels of her debut CD release, Canada's favourite new star has released her debut full-length concert film.
Filmed in Aselin's picturesque home town of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia over two days and nights in late July 2002, 'Sweet Is The Melody In Concert' perfectly captures the natural talent and innocence of this budding young star. Between-song footage gives us a tour of Glace Bay and a glimpse into the lives of its unique inhabitants.
The concert will be broadcast on PBS stations throughout the U.S. in December. Check the events section to see when it will air in your area!

"It was great that Natalie (McMaster) played on three of my tracks," Debison says. "I also listen to all the music my friends do. Pop, R&B, and rap. I love Celine Dion. Aselin Debison has been invited to join Canadian stars The Tragically Hip, Oscar Peterson Quartet, Cirque Du Soliel and dancers Evelyn Hart and Rex Harrington when Toronto welcomes Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to Roy Thompson Hall on Thursday, October 10.
Tune in live to watch the Golden Jubilee Celebrations on CBC at 8:00 p.m. ET. The show will also air live on Radio-Canada Télévision, CBC Radio and la Chaîne culturelle.

Sony Music Canada Inks Deal With Aselin Debison!

Sony Music Canada, in association with Sony Classical, announced today that they have signed Glace Bay, NS native Aselin Debison. Just eleven years old, Aselin first won the hearts of Canadians when national television stations captured her singing in support of the local Cape Breton Miners in 1999. Aselin's records will be released on the Sony Classical label in Canada, the United States and worldwide.
Earlier this year, Aselin was the youngest nominee ever at the East Coast Music Awards - picking up a nom in the category of 'Best Pop Music Artist Of the Year.' Aselin also performed the opening ceremonies at the 2001 ECMA with her musical mentor, Nova Scotia's veteran performer Bruce Guthro.
