Bob Hallett is the only true St. John's native in the band. Although Bob was involved in rock and punk music during his high school years, he also learned how to play many Celtic instruments. Bob and Sean were the two founding members of "Rankin Street", their pre-GBS band. Bob can play more instruments than I may be able to fit in this space. He plays fiddle, accordion, tin and low whistles, bagpipes, Irish flute, mandolin, mandola, tenor banjo, bouzouki, baritone sax, and sings, just to name a few. He often writes the liner notes for GBS CD's. He has also written several songs for the band.
