Murray Foster/Kris MacFarlane

Murray Foster is from Toronto, Canada. He replaced Darrell Power in 2003 as bassist for the band. He is formerly of the band "Moxy Frouvous (sp?)"


Kris MacFarlane is Great Big Sea's drummer. He is from Nova Scotia. Besides drums, he also plays bodhran, piano accordion and guitar.

I did not know Murray used to be in Moxy Fruvous!! They were a really fun band from Toronto who were at the folk festivals every year in the late 90's and early part of this decade. Their music, to me, never translated well on album but were so much fun live! They broke up a few years ago.
