First of all, most importantly,
Congratulations to Alan Doyle, and his wife Joanne, on the birth of their first child "Henry Thomas" Doyle, on July 4, 2006! May he grow up to be as musical as his father.

Secondly,
GBS recently performed in Belleville, Ont. The show was recorded live, and in November 2006, we will see the release of a second Great Big Sea DVD.

--------------------Great Big Sea is scheduled to perform at the CCMA's---------------------------------

The awards show will be broadcasted on September 11, on CBC in Canada, GAC in America, and even on CMC in Australia!

Other performers include George Canyon, Emerson Drive, Brad Johner, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Aaron Lines, Corb Lund, Aaron Pritchett with Tyler Connoly, Johnny Reid, The Road Hammers, Amanda Wilkinson and Michelle Wright.

Anne Murray will be making a special presentation.
