Yes folks it's true. On November 21, Great Big Sea will be releasing their new DVD Courage & Patience & Grit-Great Big Sea in Concert It's going to feature all the songs from both sets of the Hard and the Easy tour, as well as some behind the scenes ( I think) and music videos for "Lukey" (the awesome one that features them with the Chieftains) , "Shines Right Through Me", "When I am King" and "Captain Kidd". So...for fans like Adam, this should be stirring excitement For someone like Joe...now you can buy them both at the same time! lol yayayayayayayayayayayayay! Cheers, The over-excited Shantyfan

YAY! Can't wait - The Hard and the Easy Tour was great! Lots of different stuff than previous tours. Hopefully, the Run Run Runaway medley and Mrs Brown Daughter make the cut. Those were big highlights for me as well as heariing all of the new album live. I am off to Maine Saturday to see them live.

The Run Runaway medley was amazing. What songs were in it when you heard it? Btw-it's "Old Brown's Daughter", not "Mrs.Brown Daughter" And what are you going to do when I get to General Taylor as my display name? If you haven't noticed, after "Gideon Brown" I went to their debut, and I'm going in order...so it won't be long before I get to "Play"...I guess we'll just have the same name Cheers, Ginny

Having sold millions of albums in their native Canada, Great Big Sea is now one of that country's most popular exports. Oh my goodness...where do I begin First of all-Gideon Brown and the Mermaid dance back to back? How awesome is that?! Yay- I hoped the Scolding Wife would make the cut, but I was scared it wouldn't Four words-Shines Right Through Me!! Now I finally get to hear it live! Danny Boy- doesn't Sean sing that? I can't wait to hear that! GENERAL TAYLOR and ACOUSTIC SONC BACK TO BACK!!!!!! haha sorry....got a little too excited there I wonder what songs made the Run Runaway medley....I'd like to hear I Fought the Law....and whatever that one is that Sean always dances to...I once saw a clip of them doing "500 Miles"...(I think that's the name of it?) and that was pretty cool...I've also heard that they do Jessie's Girl sometimes...I would love to hear that. Anyhoo, thanks for the info! I'm counting down the days already!!! Cheers, Ginny

No need to worry about being all giddy! I can't wait either! I am psyched to see Scolding Wife and Gideon too - heck they could record a DVD of disco and I would probably buy it! I am glad that Old Brown's Daughter made it too. When I saw them, the medley included both 500 Miles and Jessie's Girl. I always liked 500 Miles - it was a hit when I was in high school and it's sung by a bunch of geeky guys with glasses...which I liked since I am a geek with glasses!

It was advertised in Rounder Records magazine for only US$13.99...I'll wait until Black Friday to buy it. ~~~~ Some of my friends on Canada may not know about Black Friday. It's the Friday after our Thanksgiving (the 4th Thursday in November). And it marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season; retailers are in the "black"...making a profit. Many sstores open as early as 5 AM. I opted to have Friday off so I'll be working Saturday Joe
