It's not terribly often I see articles about Great Big Sea in the newspaper, but I did see one today, which mentioned that Great Big Sea is considering recording a song called "Only One Tree", written as a tribute to Newfoundland soldiers who fought in the first world war. The song was written by Loyola Hearn.
I hope they do it! It's probably a really nice song.
Cheers, Ginny

Ginny! It's funny that you are Lukey now. This week my mom bought me this little frog that hangs on refrigerators and we named him Lukey. I have not heard that song but I am all for new GBS material! I really like a songwriter from Ontario named Garnet Rogers (the brother of the late Stan Rogers) and he has a few good songs about Canadians fighting in WW!. One, called "Hallowed", is about a vet who went back to Normandy and lay a wreth and he wasn't allowed and another about Canada's Vets called "11:11".
