I bought the Barra MacNeils (theyre from Cape Breton) album "Racket in the Attic" and to my delight found GBS singing with them on their awesome version of "Misty Moisty Morning". If any GBS fans here(*cough*ginny*cough*) haven't heard this, they should search it out! And the Barra MacNeils are awesome!

Haha...I first learned about that on the OKP...someone had the EXACT same reaction as you So I downloaded it, and heard it for myself. I have also bought Racket in the Attic, but I haven't listened to it recently. It's an awesome arrangement of the song. I love listening to it. I agree that they are awesome...I've had lots of chances to see them live, but I haven't yet. I'm still anxioulsy awaiting for their Christmas special to come on Cheers, Ginny

Must be a common reaction! I discovered them last year at a festival - they are lots of fun live!

Speaking of the Barra MacNeils-their Christmas special is FINALLY on....RIGHT NOW!! I'm watching it as I type...I love Lucy MacNeil's voice-she's singing "Oh Holy Night" right now...it's so pretty And if I remember correctly from watching this other years, little Ciaran and Fiona should be on any minute now! Cheers, Ginny

I taped that, and finally got to watch the whole thing. In the past years I kept missing it, and fiona and ciarin are so cute, and amazing. Does anyone know how old they were in that? My mom and I were arguing over their ages, I think Fiona's around 8 or 9? and Ciaran then about 11? Or are they older?

Check the thread called Any questions for Allister. I asked a question once about this Christmas special, and in the reply he mentioned their ages then. I believe that Fiona is ten and Ciaran is eleven.

By the way, The Barra MacNeils Christmas special is going to be shown again, twice on Christmas Day. I forget the times-one was in the morning, and one in the evening. If anyone is a fan of The Barra MacNeils (cough *Adam* cough) and a fan of The Ennis Sisters, and a fan of The Cottars (cough *everyone who comes here* cough), then I recommend it...it's a great show Cheers, Ginny
