I had to go with the Mabou Jig. I love that tune, and you rarely hear any other celtic bands play this piece.

I agree..this poll was really hard, but the Guitar Jigs has always been my fav. song from "On Fire" so I had to go with the Mabou Jig.

After much deliberation, I would say my favorite song is 'Ready For the Storm'. It was a request from someone in the audience at the Night Eagle Cafe and it was brilliant!

I just adore this album. It is my absolute favourite. I love Loch Tay Boat Song, Ciaran and Fiona have such a way with it, that is marvelous. Reconciliation is great too. I must say my friend at work who is all about hip hop, goes home from work singing this stuff. This music just might rug off on her.

This is a tough one to vote for. I love the Dougie MacLean tune "Ready For The Storm" and that's mostly why I bought the CD, so I'm tempted to vote for that one. But they also do an interesting arrangement of "The Parting Glass" and the jigs are fun and well done. This is really a well made album from start to finish, and it's hard to pick one song as the best. But I will pick "Loch Tay Boat Song" as the best. It's very simply done, nothing elaborate. It sounds like it's sung and played from the heart.  Rich |
