Happy Canada Day Celebrate Canada Day 2008 at Parliament Hill, Ottawa Canada Day is celebrated in grand style in the nation's capital. Every year, tens of thousands of people flock to Parliament Hill to take part in the noon show with the Prime Minister, the Governor General and the Minister of Canadian Heritage Status of Women and Official Languages and Minister for La Francophonie. This year we mark and celebrate the founding of the Canadian state 400 years ago; from Champlain to today. Canadian artists from across the country will participate in this year’s noon show. There will be performances by the Canadian country rock band, Blue Rodeo, the singer Diane Dufresne, the electrifying percussionists Drum!, the most awarded male country musician in Canadian history Paul Brandt, contemporary aboriginal performers Gilles C. Sioui, Florent Vollant and Nathalie Picard, rock musician Joel Plaskett, folk rock singer and writer Kevin Parent, rock star Suzie McNeil, the rock/pop group Pascale Picard Band and Les Deux Rives choir.
