Hey Joe,
I'm glad these are confirmed but upon further discussion with my mom I'm not going to be able to go. We have an exchange student from Thailand coming in on Friday and things just won't work out right. Shucks. It would have been fun to go!

Hi Caite,
That's wonderful that you are taking in an student from Thailand. Will he/she be staying for the entire school year?
Funny that, just yesterday my town newspaper had a notice that a family was needed to take in an exchange student from Prague.
)hugs(

Yes, Chi (funnily enough we think her name is pronounced "she") is staying the entire year. In fact, I don't think she leaves until late June of 2007! Everyone in my family is excited to meet her and from her e-mails she sounds just as excited to meet us. <3 Caite

This is my first post on this board. I saw the Cottars Friday and Saturday in Milwaukee, and thought they were great. On Friday night they performed in a tent, and Fiona sang "The Briar and The Rose" and when she was done you could have heard a pin drop. It certainly gave me chills! She got a standing ovation. I didn't know she could play the tin whistle so well too.
Also I thought Claire and Bruce were excellent with the group. I was shocked to read they might end the group. If I had known that I would have asked them Friday, as they were giving out autographs, but I had to leave. But they were all great both days, and really gave no indication they were unhappy or breaking up. But then again I didn't see them Sunday, their "last" performance.
But as I said, Claire was terrific on the fiddle, she fit right in. She hopped around on stage just like Roseanne did, and step-danced just fine. Bruce didn't fit in quite as well and did his best, but I hope everything will work out and I can see them in 2007 and years to come.
By the way, thanks to the admins for having this forum.
Rich
