Does anyone else think it's odd....

that the Cottars main website has not been updated in almost a year? It was last May or June when I found out about the split and there is no mention of that on the website or any info on current news/shows.

I just feel bad for them that many people could be going to their website and not getting any info! Another band from Canada I like is "Le Vent du Nord" from Quebec. Recently, one of their members Benoit Bourque left the band. On the day of their first show without Benoit and with its newest member, they updated their site to explain they had a new member and that benoit was no longer there. (I know this because I checked the site before I went to see them that weekend.) Too bad the Cottars didn't have the same help! I am sure when they release another album they will have updates but it's just too bad the site isn't up to date especially since they were signed by one of the bigger folk labels here in the USA (Rounder).

I agree, I have thought it very odd. I was afraid that they had just quit and weren't going to perform or be a band anymore because of it. Websites really aren't all that hard from what I hear to maintain, I wonder why they can't get someone to help them, almost every teenager I know can make websites or at least maintain an already existing one. I met someone on myspace recently who only just found out they broke up. He had gone to there official website numerous times and had no clue. He seemed pretty upset when he found out. Weird. all this stuff with them has just been weird. Well at least we know they are performing. I do hope they come to the states again and maybe close to NY. I still have yet to see them in concert. sigh, oh well.

Ya, for those people who use the website as their way to find out whats going on, I'm sure are very confused, and its not like they've totally stopped, they're still performing, and even the mira one isnt updated that much, except for concerts after they happen and a few new pictures. I think Joe said something somewhere else about why, I beleive it had to do with the company that ran that website, and that they arent using them anymore.
