The Prince Edward Island Council of the Arts (PEICIA) News by: Laurie McBurney The first annual Summerside Roots Folk Festival, takes place Sept. 12 – 13 and acts include Catherine MacLellan, Matt Andersen, Meghan Smith, and The Cottars. The concert will be held at Green Shore. The event will includes a songwriter’s workshop hosted by Juno-award nominee Frankie Trainer of Calgary. Tickets to family area are $20/family in advance, $25/family at door; admission to licensed area is $20/person in advance; $25/person at door.
