Yeah I parked in that underground parking lot when I went. I don't drive downtown too much myself, it can be confusing not only where your car is, but how to pay for the parking (and how much). Anyway I liked the concert too, but like you I wanted the Cottars to do more.

Faerie, Ya, you can't click on it anymore. I think that the Cottars will probably shut that down given the fact that they had so much spam. Either that, or they will make a code verification system. Either way, the amount of spam was just getting rediculious. Some of this spam even had links to "inappropriate" websites . The Cottars have to do something to make the guestbook for them and the fans, and avoid this nonsense. That is my best guess as to why the guestbook was shut down. God Bless, afanoffiona

You know what else is wierd, the Sea-Cape music site link is gone. The site still exists, however: www.miramusic.net/cottars/index.phpSome changes must be imminent. God Bless, afanoffiona

Did you notice that there is nothing on the front page of that site? Also, the link for Jimmy and Roseanne's page is still there, but there is nothing on that page either... hmmm....looks like some updates might be just around the corner Cheers, Ginny

...Has anyone else noticed that the guestbook on their site doesnt work anymore? or was that just my compter giving me a hard time? Tia Hi Tia and everyone, I have seen that guestbook go from bad to ugly quite fast. I sent an e-mail to Cheryl Smith, the woman that *used* to look after thecottars.com BUT no longer b/c of the breakup. She referred me to McDermott Entertainment. So maybe someone there listened and blocked the guestbook. Joe

Hey Ginny!
I did notice that there was nothing on the front page, but I hadn't clicked on the link to Jimmy and Rosanne in a long time. I usually used the Mackenzie Project website for updates. Good observation!

Hey Joe!
I agree. That thing was a mess.
Someone should suggest that the Cottars do something different with that. On most weblogs, you have to enter in a random letter-number combination code before you post, to prevent computers from generating the irritating spam that you found on the Cottars' guestbook. If the Cottars did that, it would greatly reduce the spam on the guestbook!
God Bless, afanoffiona

Hopefully they'll find some way to prevent spam...ugh, their guestbook was getting atrocious. You had to scan down the page forever before you finally found a normal comment Cheers, Ginny

I never really knew the Cottars touring schedule before and how often they toured and where they toured. Have they usually by this time had bookings? Or did you have to wait a little longer to know. How long in advance did one know when and where they were performing? I am sorry if I sound very ignorant on this subject :-/but I am and I would like to know, cause it seems to me as if this whole breakup thing is having a huge impact on their touring and performing etc. I still don't get it all but what can you do? thanks AnamCara

My wife writes the publicity for our local university's Centre for the Arts and she did the write up for the Cottars visit in April, 2006. We knew before the end of 2005 that they were coming. So to answer your question, yes, they usually have a partial schedule out by now. It looks like the breakup may be causing problems - or maybe we can hope they have come to their senses and listened to their song "Reconciliation". It would be great to see the "old" group together again.

that would be great, also they may just be taking some time off, to get the new group together, and work on new songs, because from the way one of the letters from allister sounded, they were going to change their songs. Hopefully we'll hear from them soon.

Yeah I do hope we hear soon. I mean hasn't the Mackenzie Project already taken the Savannah concert spot already? Has anyone heard much about their tour if any? Cause if they are touring already or at least have more gigs, that kind of makes me nervous. Also that Ciaran and Fiona may be moving away from the more traditional based music, I don't like that. I mean it really isn't my place to say what they should or should not do, but to me that's they are about. Keeping the older music alive by making it new again.

I agree about not wanting them to moving away from the more trad music, their last cd was kinda starting to do that i think, although i still liked it, if they stayed with that I wouldnt mind, but hopefully they still keep some trad music with them, that one of the reasons that I liked them so much.
