Hi gang, I had a really nice Friday. In fact, I had a wonderful week because I had the entire week off from work; plus I'll be off Monday as well! Last night, my brother John and I tried to find Jupiter with our telescope. He located it in the scope rather quickly. I tried to take a picture through the scope's lens. A little too blurry. Yes, I did have a outdoor ceilidh sort of...music of Aselin and The Cottars playing whilst beating the bodhran (quietly). I gave up on the tin whistle and just whistled along. Let me thank my valued friends on this forum for all of your dedication and hard work on our forum this week. Ginny...Roger...afanoffiona...crushedroses...paraclete, All the very best to each one of you. Your Captain Ceilidh, Joe

Hi Joe, Much as we rue the forthconing split of the Cottars, it has led to this forum developing considerably during the last week or so. That has to bode well for it's continued success in the future. Must dash. I'm off to Cardiff to see Hayley! All the best to everyone, Roger

Hello Ginny, I'm sorry you had to work ouside when it was so hot today. Here in PA it was around 32 degrees C. I hope you put sunscreen on and drank lots of water. Oh, but I was glad to read about your kitchen party! Sounds like you had a great time. Keep sharing the smiles! Joe

How was my day?, well, tough. I am waiting to see how my friend whom I sent the link to the Cottars performance liked it. Of course, she has a picture up on her profile, and one of her friends asked her where she had the picture taken, and she took six days to respond. So, I am waiting.
God Bless, afanoffiona

How was my day? Not good recently. I went away for a few days to the woods on a lake but had to deal long-distance with a sick dog. Someone poisoned my 1 year old chihuahua and we had to take him to the vet (half dead) just before leaving on our vacation. He's home now but not able to walk

Sorry to hear about your dog, Katie. Who would even think of poisoning your dog? I hope your chihuahua will improve with time. Hugs, Joe

Thanks Ginny, thanks Joe. I'll know how he is by the end of the month. If he isn't back to normal it is back to the vet he goes.

Dog is doing much better and almost his normal self again (thought I'd mention that).
Life is hectic at the moment. Off looking at homes. Hopefully I'll be back to say we found the home of our dreams.

^ Yay! Thanks for joining Ginny. I look forward to having you there!
We found our home. We didn't like the ones we drove up to see today but we had our eye on one from Friday and that is the one we made the offer on and they accepted. I'm excited to move... new beginnings are always great!
How was everyones weekend?

Well, if you could tell me what day it is I might be able to tell you how my day was! I'm so disoriented right now. I've been staying up late writing, listening to music, and taking long walks. Just trying to get some time to myself. During the day I spend all my time with our exchange student, Chi (who is super cool!), which is loads of fun but I'm not used to sharing so much of my time. She has only been here a week so I need some more time to get adjusted, as does Chi.
Things are a big mess at our house right now. People haven't stopped moving in or out of our house for three weeks straight! My brother left for college on Tuesday which means the last of the people (other than my dad) leaving our house for quite some time. What an exciting life I lead!

Lol, caite, that is exactly what one of my friends had said about their house. They have five cars, and there is always someone who is pulling out or in. When one pulls out, another comes in. When they get back someone else leaves, lol.
That is great that you guys are taking in a forign exchange student. It will be interesting to learn about life from another culture. I had two forign exchange students in my speech class two semesters ago: one from India, and one from Taiwan. They had a lot of really interesting stories to tell.
God Bless, afanoffiona

Hi Katie,
I'm SO glad your doggie is much better. You've bought a new house? I hope it's more in the country.

Hi Caite,
That's wonderful that Chi is having a good time. I hope things are quieting down a little at your house.
