Caite, I know that feeling! Hopefully things will return to normal again for you soon and you'll be able to return to the walks, writing, etc... Those things are always so relaxing Yes Joe - got a new house. We close in October and we'll be moving. Yes, it is more in the country. We actually have some acres this time. I'm really looking forward to it. Spoke wth some of the "not so close" neighbors and they are all really friendly.

Hi everyone! Can some say stressful? Today was my first day back at my school. Though it looked like my school, and I could see some familiar faces I was completely lost in the crowd! Our school went from being 150 people last year to 320 this year. Throughout the entire day I found myself looking for that feeling of family from last year, but all I found were more new faces! In a way it's good for my school to be so popular already, but I don't want the attitude of the school to be that of a normal high school. Perhaps the fact we're all performing artists will keep the feeling of a normal high school away. Why, just today I was a part of the school's first sing-along! It was during lunch. My friends Eric and Ross pulled our their electric guitars, amps and hooked up some mics. We had the entire lunchroom singing along, until "The Man" came and told us to cut it out. Ah well, we made up for it while we were waiting for English to begin: we sang the songs from 'Wicked'. Our English teacher walked in and applauded us and said, "Great singing everyone! Just remember to keep it before and after class. Alright, now here's your homework." haha! And because my school is on block scheduling I get to do it all over again tomorrow! Happy Birthday to me! <3 Caite

Hi Caite Thanks for sharing your first day of school with us. If so many other students have half of your talent, that's really saying something! Ginny, how was your first day back, dear? Joe

My day was good. It's always tough to go back to work after a holiday. I work at an office for a mail-order clothing company, so there was twice as much mail.
I had to cover someone else's job (she had a vacation day). Her job is putting customer orders into a scanner. Pictures of the orders are uploaded to FTP sites for two companies located in India and the Philippines, who enter the order into our network. The orders used to be entered by my dept. but it's so much cheaper this way.

My first day back was good. I have my "easy" courses this semester-Hospitality, French, Math and Biology. I have the more difficult classes next semester-History, English, Chemistry and Calculus. History and English aren't hard courses, but there is a lot of work involved in both. But anyway, right now my days are pretty slack, which is good. Last year I started off with math, chemistry, French and physics, and I was so stressed out every day. With the exception of math, my classes are pretty small, so that's nice. I can't wait for all the extra-cirricular activities to start! Cheers, Ginny

Hi Ginny, I liked how you called French and Biology "easy"! I loved biology. That's interesting that your courses change each semester. I had to endure the same classes for the entire grade. Your hospitality sounds interesting, Gin. I took the business route; so I had shorthand (!), accounting, office management as well as math, history, Spanish, etc. I was glad that I was able to take physics for a grade also. I had mainly small classes as well; there were only about 60 kids in my 12th grade class! May I ask what extra-curricular activities you are involved with this year? Thanks for sharing, Ginny Joe

I'm in a certificate program that focuses on the hospitality, travel and tourism industry. It's a lot of fun. We actually get to travel some, and we do a lot of volunteering. I'm also in band...I love being a band geek Cheers, Ginny

Hi Ginny, That is a wonderful concept. Too bad schools in Pennsylvania don't have a program like that. My school had a band program...that's the one thing I never took part in though. I know you play a variety of instruments, Ginny. Great Job ! J-o-e

What instruments do you play in your band Ginny?
Today was exhausting... or maybe I'm just exhausted in general. Getting back into the swing of school and having to think on a regular basis can be tiresome - but I shall not complain too much since its much better to strain the brain than let it collect cob webs.
Made it to the bookstore so I could hear the entire CD sample of the 2006 Cottars. Excellent!

Pretty. I love the sound of the flute. My niece just started 5th grade and for band she was given 3 options of what she would like to play. Her first choice was flute

Well, hopefully she does better than I did on the flute. All I ever managed to eek out on the flut was "mary had a little lamb" - the rest of the stuff I played no one could make out what it was. LOL

Cheers, Ginny Well now it's that lovely time of the year again when I have exams in all of my "easy" classes ...so how have my days been? Very busy for sure. I wrote two exams today...I know I did really well on my french (my teacher told me so) and I think (hope ) that I did well in bio as well. I have my math in a few days, so we'll have to see how that goes! Oh by the way Adam P, if you read this-while studying, I've listened to "Racket in the Attic" more than a few times ...I'm falling in love with it ;D Cheers! Ginny
