Hey Mott!
Actually, there aren't that many good bullpens around. I think Anaheim has the best I have seen thusfar. However, even they blew an 8th inning lead today.

Hey Jason!
Actually, it is normal to leave players in for the whole game in baseball. The reason is that baseball requires short, concentrated amounts of energy, where as something like basketball requires the exertion of energy throughout an extended period.
When there is an exchange it is usually for some kind of advantage, or some kind of matchup. If you have the winning run on first, you can substitute a faster guy in so he will be able to score on a double. Or, lets say the winning run is on third base with two outs, and the guy who is due up is 0-15 carrier against the pitcher. However, you realize that there is a guy on the bench who is 25-30 carrier against him. You will make the substitution in this instance to get the matchup you want.
In baseball, substitutions have more to do with strategy then with rest. That is one of the many facets of the game that make it so interesting.

God Bless, afanoffiona Yeah that's funny, because Oakland's bullpen blew a lead against the White Sox the other day too, and the Sox' bullpen was great for a change. The Twins have a great bullpen too I'm afraid.

Just wanted to say that I heard the Cottars on the radio yesterday . I don't listen to the radio often, the station I was listening to was 90.7 FUV Fordham Universty, where on Saturday mornings and Sunday Afternoons they have Scottish and Irish and All sorts of celtic music it is great. I don't get good reception in my house so I mainly hear it in my car. I have been grieving(can't spell) lately for the loss of my Forerunner CD, I have to get another. I have ripped my house apart looking for it. Anyway I am on my way to my friends house, we play celtic and folk music together and "Hold On" came on the radio. I started freaking out, I got all excited, you would've thought I was hearing myself for the first time on the radio. I was so happy I was going through Forerunner withdrawals lol I am sure they are played often but I had never heard them before and it totally made my day. I felt really good when my friend Cynthia and I were practicing! We have our first performance together this Friday night, we are doing an open mic right up the street from my house, I can't wait. I hope you will all wish us luck. We want to do three songs, Wild Mountain Thyme (Will Ye Go, Lassie Go), The Winds are Singing Freedom, and Danny Boy. It should be alot of fun and I will keep you all updated on how it went. Have a good day all! AnamCara/ElizaRose

Good luck! If it's at all possible, you should get someone to record it, and post it online. I would love to see/hear it! Cheers, Ginny

Hey Everyone!
I am kinda sad today. As a college student, we were quite afraid when we heard of the shootings down at Virginia Tech. It is hard to believe that our lives could be ended at any time. My school is not exempt from this. It could have happened here in Wisconsin just as much as in Virginia.

My thoughts are with all of the families and friends of the victims and the dozens injured as well. I hope all of my friends here away at college or university are coping well with this. It's a reminder of how very quickly a catastrophy can happen. Joe

Hey Joe,
I guess you just feel really vulnerable as a college student. I mean, if someone walks into your classroom with a gun, what are you going to do?
I felt really sad that the gunman was a loner. I wished someone would have gone up and tried to make friends with him, and help him a little bit. Not saying that things would have turned out differently [they may not have], but him having no friends appeared to be just heaping gasoline onto an already hot fire.

One of the kids who was killed was actually from Massachusetts and was an '05 graduate of my high school. I didn't know him but my friend is a history teacher there and he taught in for two years. I guess the school was swarmed with the press outside the building looking to talk to people. The press can be so ignorant of being respectful sometimes. Yesterday was a truly sad day.

Hey Adam,
Wow, I bet. The media will do anything for a story. Wow, I can't imagine what that would be like. It sorta reminds me of those television shows where celebrities will sit down to have a meal, and will find out that there is someone taking their picture or something.
